SUMMARY
This demosponge species is made up of numerous reticulating branches. The skeleton is composed of siliceous spicules. Spicule types include megascleres (acanthostyles, styles and subtylostyles) and microscleres (palmate isochelae and toxas). Acanthostyles measure less than 90 mm in length.
